Preparing for Christmas!

We had a fun weekend of Christmas preparations. Anna liked Santa much better this year- no tears and even a few little smiles! We picked out our tree at the nursery and enjoyed listening to two high school boys play carols on their horns. Then we decorated our tree. When we opened the box of ornaments, Anna looked inside and said "whoa!" She likes the tree and also the little fires we have been having in our fireplace.

Writing!

One of Anna's new favorite things to do is write with pens. She makes a lot of circles and tiny scribbles that almost look like handwriting!

Thanksgiving with BeBe!

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Jacksonville this year and on the day after Thanksgiving we went to the Jacksonville Zoo. It is a great zoo and Anna got to feed a real giraffe and ride on a fake one!

We also spent some relaxing time at the beach, looking at seashells and just enjoying the time together.

Veteran's Day Parade

There was a wonderful Veteran's Day parade in town this year and we all enjoyed the floats, music, and spirit of appreciation for our military service members.

Visit to Grandma and Papa's House!

In early November, we spent a fun weekend with Grandma and Papa. We all went to see Emily play her trumpet in the halftime show of the Trinity High School football game. They were great and Anna loved the music even though it was very cold outside! She also got to listen to Grandpa play his guitar and sing and to enjoy her favorite dessert- pudding!

Happy Halloween!

My little giraffe getting checked out by Winnie the Pooh at her preschool fall festival!

She had her first Halloween candy on Saturday and she loved it!

She did really well with her costume and seemed to like wearing it. She would laugh every time she saw herself in a mirror!

Getting ready to go trick or treating! She was so cute and seemed to understand the concept more than I expected. She would go up to the door and say "Knock Knock" and then she'd be surprised when it opened. She usually said "Candy please!" because "Trick or treat" was a little challenging. She also would say "Thank you" and "Happy Ha-ween!" She had a tootsie roll pop, some M & Ms, some pretzels, and a little Crunch bar. Adam and I are having the rest!

Having a little late dinner after trick or treating.

She loves these pajamas- the bones glow in the dark. We stand her on the bathroom counter in front of the mirror and turn off the lights and she thinks it is so funny!

Daddy's Home!

Anna just started saying two words together on Sunday, and today she said her first sentence- "Daddy's home!" It was so sweet! Maybe spending the weekend with Cody inspired her!

Anna's silly face!

Anna's mad face (doesn't look much like her real mad face)!

A Wonderful Weekend!

We had a great weekend at the beach with Jason, Keri, and Cody! Anna and Cody were so sweet together.

Navigating the aisles of Publix.

Anna's first popsicle- she loved it and made a huge mess!

Cody leading the way to the restaurant- adorable!

We had a great beach day on Saturday. The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed playing in the sand and water. The kids had a lot of fun with the wagon, and Cody kept getting out to pull Anna along. It is so neat to watch your friends grow into parents and to get to know their children. I think Anna and Cody will make good friends too!
