Adam and Anna made this play-doh monster while I was making dinner last night. I think they did a pretty good job!

Beach Weekend

We had a fun beach weekend at the beginning of August with a lot of good family time and even a little shower for the new baby!

Anna loves to swing while walking and is always on the lookout for two hands to hold!

Anna's First Movie!

Anna went with her Grandma, Papa, and me to see her first movie- Winnie the Pooh! She really liked it, actually we all did, and she watched the whole thing. I liked how they had a special little booster for her seat. Afterward, she said she liked it, but it was a little dark in there! Then we had lunch at Steak and Shake. It was a very fun day!

Scrubs

One of Anna's favorite things to do lately is put on her scrubs, get her doctor tools, and take care of her "patients". She especially likes to give medicine!

Diaper Duty

I happened upon Anna trying to change her baby doll's diaper one day recently. She was very patient about it and I have a feeling that she is going to be a super helper with her new little sister!

Ruby Slippers

Anna's favorite shoes are her "ruby slippers". She always wants to wear them. Usually I don't let her wear them to school, but sometimes I say yes. :)

Growing and Changing

As we prepare for the arrival of our new daughter, we've been making some changes around the house. Anna has moved to, and loves, her big girl bed and we set up a little playroom. The nursery is still a work in progress!

Happy Independence Day!

We had a great Fourth of July this year, playing at the beach, going downtown for ice cream, and then doing some little fireworks in the backyard. Anna really liked holding her own sparklers- she was very brave!
